Slow Mornings,
Long Evenings.
A life designed for five — lived gently in the foothills of Uludağ.
I. The Philosophy
Time, returned to us.
We are five — two parents, three children, one shared sky. In Bursa, where the plane trees lean over old streets and Uludağ holds the weather, we have decided to keep our days unhurried.
Mornings are long. Breakfasts are slow. Evenings are walks. Reading is shared aloud. Films are watched together, with tea between scenes. Nothing here is optimised; everything is enjoyed.
Presence
Phones rest in a bowl by the door.
Proximity
Our world is walkable: park, market, school.
Patience
Meals, conversations, weekends — unrushed.
II. A Day In Our Life
From first light to lamplight.

III. The City, Walked Slowly
Bursa, our garden.
Kültürpark
Morning walks under the planes. The children know every bench.
Hisar / Tophane
Sunset over the plain — ice cream from the old stand.
Kapalı Çarşı
Slow Saturday browsing. Silk, soap, simit on the way out.
Cumalıkızık
A village morning: cobbled streets, jam breakfast, return by noon.
Uludağ foothills
A monthly day in the trees. A flask, a blanket, no plan.
Heykel Pazarı
Tuesday market. Children carry the lightest bag.
Yeşil Türbe
When we want quiet that feels older than us.
Mudanya, by the sea
Half-day escape. Fish, ferry-watching, a long drive home.
We are not in a hurry.
The week has room. The children have parents who look up. There is tea on the stove and a book on the arm of the chair.
IV. The Things We Share
Pages, films, and the small ceremonies.
Reading together
- — A poem before breakfast
- — A children's chapter at dusk
- — A novel each, on Sundays
- — Library trip every other Friday
Watching together
- — Studio Ghibli evenings
- — A quiet documentary on Uludağ
- — Old Yeşilçam films with grandparents
- — Saturday: one film, popcorn, no phones
Small rituals
- — Sunday breakfast lasts two hours
- — Walks before bed, every season
- — One screen-free day each week
- — A candle lit at supper
May the years be long,
and the evenings longer.
— for the family, Bursa
